The RACE to get there...

Visas... oh the joy! We both thought that, by now, things would be coming to a close with Zambia preparation. Not the case. It's quite alright though, because it's keeping us on our toes! We had thought that our visa applications would be sent out by early last week, however, we are tying some loose ends up so we can get them sent out by later this week... now, now... I don't want to make it seem that we are sitting around doing nothing in preparation though, by this Thursday (5/5) we both would have had our immunizations done (Hep A, Polio booster, Meningococcal, and Typhoid). We are also both going to be on doxycycline for our Malaria prophylaxis, which we will begin about 2 days before leaving, taking a pill daily, ending roughly 4 weeks after we come back... In the words of my Nurse Practitioner... "that's A LOT of doxy!" ;)

Though Zambia is a few short weeks away, we are feeling like it's still SOOO FARRRR! We have finals this week -pray for us please!- but that seems to be the last major obstacle before Africa (STOKED!).
